Velkeer Frankovka modrá 2022 | Red Dry Wine

This is a dry red wine with a light ruby color, carrying the legacy of one of the oldest cultivated varieties in our locality. It is characterized by a lighter, delicious body and an honest varietal expression that will please every lover of traditional Slovak red wines.

The aroma is built on a fruity tandem of plums and blackberries, subtly complemented by a typical cinnamon line and a pinch of black pepper. On the palate, the wine is very smooth and fresh, dominated by sour stone fruits, especially cherries. The overall impression is completed by well-integrated acidity and soft tannins that transition into a fruity finish. It is a sensual and intoxicating wine designed for pleasant everyday dining as well as more festive occasions.

Serving: at a temperature of 16 – 18 °C, with most meat dishes, heavier fish, meat charcuterie, red sauces, or roasted duck.
