Coniston Brewing Company has been operating since 1995 in the picturesque village of Coniston in England’s Lake District. Founded by Ian Bradley who returned home after studying brewing to establish his own microbrewery behind the family-run Black Bull Inn - the brewery leverages pristine local waters and quality ingredients to craft award-winning beers.

Their core lineup features six flagship styles: Bluebird Bitter, a delicate session ale that won Supreme Champion Beer of Britain in 1998; Premium XB; Old Man Ale; the hop-forward Infinity IPA; a smooth Special Oatmeal Stout; plus one or two rotating special releases. All beers are unfiltered, often bottle-conditioned or cask-matured, delivering clean, balanced flavour and a true-to-style character.

Production takes place directly behind the historic Black Bull Inn, a pub known for its cozy stone walls and roaring fireplace, and visitors can sometimes glimpse the brewing process during service. With a weekly output of around 1,600 gallons, Coniston beers are served in over a hundred venues, both locally and internationally - extending to the US, Sweden, and Hong Kong.
