Baran Brewery is an independent craft brewery from Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, born out of a passion for honest, high-quality beer. Every sip reflects its dedication to quality: pure spring water from the Bystrica region, premium malts, and carefully selected hops – from traditional Czech varieties to distinctive American and New Zealand cultivars. The result is beer full of character – unfiltered, unpasteurized, and brewed with precision.

Our core range features bottom-fermented lagers inspired by the Pilsner tradition, refreshing wheat ales, and modern hop-forward styles like IPA and APA. During the season, we’re not afraid to experiment – crafting limited editions such as fruity summer sours or rich, dark specials for the colder months.

Baran beer doesn’t have its own taproom, but you can find it in bars, restaurants, and at festivals across Slovakia. In Banská Bystrica and nearby areas, we proudly partner with local venues that serve our beer in its freshest form. We also provide bottle and keg distribution for private events and corporate functions – including tap equipment rental.
