Company EMMA SLOVAKIA s.r.o. operating as online shop DrinkShop began selling beverages in 2006 by opening its first retail. At that time, in a well-known wine shop situated in Trenčín, you could find solely wines from selected Slovak winemakers.

Three years later, we started wholesale distributing wine and we established online shop evinoteka.sk, the predecessor of today's DrinkShop. Our philosophy has always been to offer carefully selected products and add value to them in the form of quality services, support and advice to our customers.

We penetrated the market with non-traditional beers and beer specialities in 2009 by launching cooperation with Kaltenecker brewery. We have become the main business partner for distribution of their Kaltenecker beers and popular German brand Paulaner. The inclusion of beer products became the impulse for establishment of a new online shop DrinkShop as well as the extension of our assortment by Belgian, English and Scotch breweries. We started organizing the world-famous Oktoberfest throughout Slovakia.

At the turn of 2013 and 2014, Danish brewery Mikkeller, a pioneer of nomadic brewing, became the flagship of our offer. A few months later, we expanded our offer by two other breweries - Danish To Øl and Austrian Bevog. With the offer of cooperation, we also addressed the community of Slovak home brewers and small nomadic breweries. By undertaking this step we helped many of them to show up with their interesting beers on the Slovak market. In November 2014, we launched a new version of our online shop DrinkShop.sk together with the Czech variant DrinkOnline.cz. This was followed by drinkshop.at, drinkonline.pl and drinkonline.hu for the entire Central Europe. At the same time, our offer was extended by amazing Swedish beer brands such as Omnipollo, Brewski and Poppels together with the Estonian brands such as Pohjala and Pühaste as well as by number of Dutch, French and Belgian breweries (De Molen, Kasteel, Lindemans, Leffe, La Debauche, etc.). We are constantly looking for new breweries and so our offer always brings something new and crispy.

But in addition to our amazing beer offer, we are continuously expanding our selection of other types of drinks. Spirits from our offer have been placed at the forefront of world competitions for years. This concerns prestigious gins, absinthes of the Žufánek´s limited series, BVD´s fruit distillates (Bird Valley Destillery), Marsen, or interesting liqueurs produced by Pakruojis Manor Distillery. The producers of valuable rums, whisky and brandy are also rising up. In 2020 we also launched mixed cocktails (ready to drink) Mikropolis and Punch Club.

We have started with wine and wine is still one of our heart's affairs. We remain loyal to traditional Slovak winemakers who prefer quality over quantity. We love terroir wines with a clear recognition of their origin. In our offer you will find wines for everyday drinking, but we are happy to satisfy especially demanding customers who are looking for wine made by unique methods, such as various unfiltered wine, organic wine, wine matured on skins or on lees (sur lie), etc. We store wines in ideal conditions, so you don't have to be afraid of older, mature vintages.

We didn´t just stay with offering the alcoholic drinks. For several years, we have been a major distributor of craft lemonades, syrups, fruit juices, caffeine shots and teas from manufacturers who keep the authenticity of an exceptional product. Among all, we can mention brands like Fentimans, Mellos, Herbert, Koldokol and Samurai Shot.

We are glad that we can constantly expand our range with new quality products, while many of them are appearing on our market for the first time.
