The legendary Blauer Portugieser from the Magula family winery tells a unique story of a wine born from an extraordinary situation in the Vlčia Dolina valley. The grapes originate from an old, nearly forgotten vineyard in the Teufelsecke site, where in the 2017 vintage it reached unprecedented quality at a berry selection level with 24.7 °NM sugar content. As it was a rare raw material, the winemakers treated it with the same respect as their finest Frankovka unplugged. The entire processing took place without the touch of a machine, with whole clusters trodden by foot and subsequently macerated in an open vat for three weeks, giving the wine unexpected depth and structure.

Aging took place for a full 33 months in an old oak barrel, where the wine was racked exclusively by gravity. The result of this patient work is a limited edition of only 292 bottles of spontaneously fermented organic wine, which earned the nickname "Legendary Blauer Portugieser" in the cellar. It is an unfiltered and unfined wine with high concentration and complex character, combining the wildness of a neglected vineyard with a precise artisanal approach. Every bottle is a testament to the power of nature and the variety's ability to surprise even in the most unexpected conditions.

Serving: at a temperature of 16 – 18 °C, with pork and cheeses.
