Vivanco Crianza 2020 is crafted mainly from Tempranillo, complemented by small portions of Graciano and Maturana Tinta, all harvested by hand from vineyards in Rioja. A slow fermentative maceration in French oak vats at temperatures up to 28 °C ensures optimal extraction and a full expression of each varietal’s character. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation followed by ageing for at least 12 months in a combination of American and French oak barriques, with regular rackings to promote clarity and roundness. It is further refined by a minimum of six months’ bottle ageing before release.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour with violet reflections. The nose reveals layers of ripe red fruit, vanilla, spice, and subtle toasted and smoky undertones from its time in oak. The palate is harmonious and well-structured, offering freshness, balance, and fine integration of fruit and oak, culminating in a long, elegant, and persistent finish that reflects the finesse of modern Rioja craftsmanship.

Serving: at 16–18 °C, perfect with tapas, Mediterranean dishes, rice and legume-based meals, pasta, and all types of red and white meat.
