Velkeer Rizling vlašský 2024 | White Dry Wine

A variety that is the historical backbone of the Nitra region and an essential part of the vineyards in Veľký Kýr. This Welschriesling comes from the Perešek and Kövecses sites, where it traditionally reaches great quality. The wine has a fresh greenish color and the aroma immediately reveals that the grapes were harvested at peak ripeness. Clear notes of green Golden Delicious apples are present, complemented by subtle hints of summer flowers and herbs.

On the palate, the wine is very juicy with a solid foundation that carries a more serious impression than is common for young wines. The freshness of the apples is complemented by a typical nutty aftertaste, which subtly transitions into a hint of vanilla in the finish. It is a straightforward, honest wine with a long fruity finish that will age well, but its quality can be fully appreciated right now.

Serving: at a temperature of 10 – 12 °C, with freshwater fish, vegetable salads, or mild cheeses.
