Tokaj Macik Winery Tokajské samorodné sladké 2011 | biele sladké víno
This traditional Tokaj wine bears a name of Slavic origin, referring to its natural birth and deep connection to the region. Tokaj Macik Tokajské samorodné sladké 2011 is not a classic cuvée but a unique blend of three typical varieties – Furmint, Lipovina, and Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, which are harvested and processed together. Thanks to intense botrytis, the grapes in this vintage reached a high sugar content of 24° NM, giving the wine base an exceptional concentration and a lighter amber hue. The aroma is dominated by attractive notes of fruit compote, quince, and ripe pears, underlined by the noble spiciness of botrytic berries.
The texture of the wine is pleasantly spicy and lively, with the fine residual sugar harmoniously combining with the distinct Tokaj acidity in the taste. Notes of sweet raisins (cibebas) and grape compote dominate, transitioning into fresh citrus chords in the long aftertaste. It is a cornerstone of Tokaj production, carrying centuries of history and tradition, with the 2011 vintage offering a beautifully matured expression suitable for lovers of full and aromatic sweet wines.
