Slobodné Vinárstvo Majer Červený | Red Dry Wine

Majer Červený is an ideal "daily" wine, which the winery often refers to as a coffee wine. It is a casual companion for lunch or even as a substitute for afternoon coffee when the day is far from over. This natural blend of Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Alibernet combines grapes from multiple vintages, with a portion of the older wine kept as a "reserve perpetuelle" to form the basis for future blends. The wine aged in a combination of oak barrels, ovoids, and stainless steel, without fining or filtering.

The label of this red cuvée features an artwork by Miro Veselko, a handmade collage based on an old photograph of the estate in Zemianske Sady combined with the iconic rooster. On the palate, the wine is straightforward, light, and highly drinkable, yet thanks to the Alibernet and barrel aging, it retains its structure and character. It is an honest artisanal wine from the Slovak Cru line, focusing on sincerity and natural expression without unnecessary additives.

Serving: at a temperature of 16 – 18 °C, with beef steak, venison with rosehip sauce, or hard cheeses.
