Blandy´s Madeira Reserva 5 Years | Red Sweet Wine

This five-year-old reserve Madeira represents a masterful blend of two traditional white grape varieties from the island – 50% Malmsey and 50% Bual. The result is a unique fortified wine that combines the silky, honeysuckle sweetness characteristic of Malmsey with the tropical fruit and spiciness of the Bual variety. The aging process in oak casks grants it a noble character and depth, while the wine maintains the natural energy of the spirit. It is a complex and full-bodied drink that reveals rich layers of flavours and aromas in every sip, shaped by five years of patient maturation.

Visually, it captivates with a beautiful golden-chestnut colour and a fine golden rim. The nose is classic and characteristic of aged Madeira, dominated by notes of dried fruit, toffee, and subtle hints of oak and spices. On the palate, the wine is sweet, very rich, and smooth, with an opulent body perfectly balanced by fine and precise acidity. The finish is long-lasting and delicate, with a distinct trace of honey and spicy oak. It is a refined companion for festive moments, maintaining its quality for a long time after opening.

Serving: at a temperature of 13 °C, with fruit desserts, rich chocolate puddings, or soft cheeses.
