Paulaner Brauerei München, Germany

Paulaner is a legendary brewery based in Munich, Germany, with origins that trace back to 1634 when monks from the Neudeck ob der Au monastery started brewing strong beer under the Purity Law. Over the centuries, Paulaner has become deeply woven into Bavarian culture—known for its dedication to tradition, excellence in brewing, and celebration of beer as part of daily life.

The brewery produces a diverse range of beers, from classic Bavarian wheat beers (Weißbier) to light lagers like Münchner Hell, dark lagers, festive Oktoberfest specials, and the storied Salvator double bock. Their beers are brewed with carefully selected malts, hops, pure water, and yeast—always honoring the Reinheitsgebot purity law. Each style embodies Munich’s brewing heritage, whether through the dark roasted richness of their special brews or the crisp, malty elegance of traditional lagers.

Paulaner is also known for its role in Munich’s festivals. The brewery participates every year at Oktoberfest, and its historic Salvator is closely tied to local customs and seasonal celebrations. Beyond its product range, Paulaner is committed to sustainable practices and social responsibility—balancing its deep roots and large-scale production with environmental care, community connection, and consistent quality.

Enjoying Paulaner means tasting centuries of brewing history in every glass. It conveys a sense of place—Munich—and of people who believe that beer is more than just refreshment: it is culture, craft, and celebration.
