Haksna Brewery, based in Ostrava, was born from the shared dream of two passionate beer lovers – Mirek, an experienced brewmaster, and Dan, who had spent many years working in a family brewery and longed to start his own project. Their shared passion and determination led to the founding of the brewery in 2019, which has since become a notable name on the Czech craft beer scene.

From the very beginning, Haksna has stood out thanks to its unique approach. Their beers aren’t just made from recipes – they are the result of conversations, ideas, and enthusiasm that the founders and their team pour into every single batch. They work with deep respect for the craft while embracing creativity and innovation. The brewery focuses primarily on modern beer styles such as IPA, NEIPA, and APA, while also offering honest and well-crafted Czech lagers.

The name Haksna, which in the Ostrava dialect means “leg” or “limb,” reflects the character of the brewery – it’s something that gives you a kick and gets you out of your seat.

While Haksna may seem like a small local project at first glance, it is in fact an ambitious brewery determined to grow and help shape the future of Czech craft beer.
