Glenfiddich Distillery, Scotland
Glenfiddich is a unique and historic Scottish distillery — founded in 1886 by William Grant in the picturesque town of Dufftown in the Speyside region. On December 25th, 1887, the first drop of whisky flowed from its stills, and since then Glenfiddich has remained in the hands of the same family for generations. This continuity has shaped its identity as one of the most iconic distilleries in the world.
Every bottle of Glenfiddich is the result of a traditional, carefully preserved production process: malted barley, pure spring water from the Robbie Dhu Spring, and distillation in copper pot stills. Glenfiddich is one of the few distilleries where the entire process — from production to bottling — takes place on a single site. This approach ensures consistent quality and a distinctive house style.
In the 1960s, Glenfiddich took a bold step and began selling single malt whisky beyond Scotland — becoming a pioneer that helped popularize the very concept of “single malt” around the globe. Its iconic triangular green bottle, introduced in 1957, further set the brand apart and became an instantly recognizable symbol on shelves.
Today, Glenfiddich stands among the best-selling and most respected single malt whiskies in the world, available in dozens of countries and setting the benchmark for premium whisky craftsmanship. For whisky enthusiasts, Glenfiddich represents heritage, artisanal mastery, and timeless elegance.
